Sony HDR-HC3 footage
The following was taken on a Sony HDR-HC3 high definition camcorder. The original footage was shot in DV at 1080i PAL. The footage has been deinterlaced (discarding one field) and resized to 720p using VirtualDub and compressed using the Xvid codec at about 8Mbs.

The quality of the footage is still very impressive for a consumer camera - particularly the night shots of Tower Bridge. The camera was mostly left with everything on auto (except for the focus in the Primrose Hill shot where it was set to infinity). None of the footage was shot using a tripod (hence why the zoomed in bits are a little bit shakey!)
