Public Unaware That Paintball Session Scheduled In House of Commons Was Cancelled - May 19th 2004
Two men from the organisation Fathers 4 Justice have claimed they were unaware that a Paintball Session scheduled to take place in the House of Commons had been cancelled. The men appeared midway through Prime Minister’s Question Time and proceeded to let off two shots in the direction of Tony Blair.
“It was great, we’d found a great camping position up at the top and had a choice of targets.” Keith Wilson explained, claiming to be one of the men involved in the attack, “To be honest we were a bit mystified as to why everyone was just sitting down rather than taking cover but we figured they were probably just a little bit inexperienced.”
Mr Wilson explained that once they had set up their position they noticed that Mr Blair and the cabinet had left themselves open to attack from the rear.
“We’d out flanked them, in my sights I could see Tony Blair. I thought I’m never going to have the opportunity to cap the Prime Minister in the arse with a paintball again, particularly with one I made from a condom and purple flour - so I threw it at him.”
Mr Wilson’s aim was poor and he only managed to hit Mr Blair on the back. Nevertheless, it is likely he will go down in history as the first man to shoot a Prime Minister with a paintball within the Houses of Parliament.
Although it is believed the men did not intend to cause any harm to Mr Blair it has given the opportunity for the Daily Mirror to lead with “BLAIR SHOT!!” in tomorrow’s paper. They have also speculated they believe that although the men claim to be part of the Fathers 4 Justice group they are actually secretly sponsored by Gordon Brown.
